This weekend, Hayleigh and I had a great time. Friday night, we went out to eat and the movies with the Bates'. We took our kids to see Madagascar 2, Escape to Africa, which I thought was okay(I dozed off for 5 minutes near the end). Personally, I think the penguins made the whole movie, but the girls absolutely loved every bit of it. Then Saturday morning, I took her back down to Norwich for her "Nutcracker" practice, then dance class. We then came home for a bit, and after a call from the Bates', we went up to their house to hang out, play Nintendo Wii, and then watched the iCarly movie on the Disney channel, complete with hot fudge sundaes! We didn't make it back home till almost 11pm, and she basically passed out on the ride home.
I was hoping that she'd sleep in, but it was back up a 8:30 for us. We eventually made our way back to Rene's house, where the girls went off and played like we were chopped liver. So Rene and I ended up spending much of the afternoon raking four truckloads of leaves out of his front yard, while the girls played on the swing set, etc. We ate supper, and got a late start heading back to Norwich to get her home. After dropping her off, it was back to my house for me and I tried to take a nap before work. I couldn't sleep a wink, as I was too worried about becoming unconscious, and oversleeping before work. Now I'm here at work, thought maybe I could get a few minutes of shut-eye, but I'm wide awake now. Hopefully I can successfully navigate my car home in the morning before hitting the pillow and passing out!!
Oh, BTW, here is a pic that my ex-wife gave me from Hayleigh's school Halloween party they had, the day after Halloween. Unfortunately, my camera's batteries were dead, but the ex managed to take some great pics. Sadly, she doesn't download her pictures to a computer so she could email them, instead she has one of those camera/photo docking printer. I'm hoping to get some more pics from that night...

Just reading this post made me very, very, very tired and in need of a nap! I don't know how you overnight guys do it, I really don't! If I never work another midnight shift, it will be too soon!
Love the picture of you and Hayleigh!
